MEET THE DESIGNER
After immigrating as a child from her home country of Costa Rica to the United States, it was in kindergarten where Fernanda Durmer was first recognized for her creative potential and was nicknamed Georgia O’Keeffe. While her career as an artist began with creating fine line drawings inspired by architecture and the Art Deco era, she discovered a passion for jewelry after carving her first ring from wax and falling in love with the very textured surface of the gold.
Fernanda’s collection is an expression of her artistic journey, her love of the Art Deco era and of fluid symmetries and rich textures. Each piece is created with purposeful, heavily textured gold and is meant to be organically symmetrical rather than perfectly symmetrical.
