Southern California designer Susan Oster of Feral Jewelry established The NOO Studio in 2020 to create a men's line capturing the most essential and admirable masculine traits: a man's ability to fix what's broken, heal the wounded, and find strength in life's challenges. Thoughtfully handcrafted in Los Angeles from sterling silver and 18K gold, each collectible piece is a play on the Scottish saying, "Strength grows strong from the wound". The official motto of the Stewart clan, of which the designer's family is descended, this powerful reminder is meant to serve as a perennial inspiration and guiding light.

"Sensing the need in men's jewelry for handmade, well-designed pieces, I decided to create The NOO Studio, which expresses a man's ability to fix the broken, heal the wounded, and find strength in the struggle. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted in our studio and incorporates the Stewart clan motto "Strength grows strong from the wound", which comes from my family crest.
